History, Strengths and weaknesses
History: When the MCP was just about to be deleted by Tron it sent out a pulse of sorts that activated dormant sleeper cells within some of the programs hidden in other parts of the Grid. This in turn awoke several fragments it had created, partial duplicates of itself. One of these named Strife had been trapped in a videogame known as Sentinels Rising, a sort of Sci Fi Mech Game. Once he awoke and realized what had happened, he traveled to the Grid. On his way to the Grid he downloaded countless codes into his disc, and upped his processing power as well as his strength and speed. When he learned that Tron had 'died' he decided that the programs needed some hope. With that in mind, he's recently started to pretend to be Tron.

The Grid had recently destabilized with the death of Tron. Clu was an amateur who was not fit to command anyone. The process of Rectification needed to be rectified, and he needed to be removed out of any sort of power. But to do that, Strife would need a way to influence the programs that had not been rectified or adjusted in the least. An idea hit him. Some of the programs likely had the ill-conceived belief that Tron was still around. The while ignorant belief was a powerful thing that could be exploited if he played his cards right. For now he'd pretend to do his job as a mechanic, and hope that no one discovered that the newest mechanic was in fact both not from around here, and masquerading as Tron. Still he'd be careful.
There would be nothing kept at his place of work that made him out to be Tron, in the slightest. No Dual Disc or anything would be used while there. He'd also carry a fake disc he had designed when in public, one that stored some of his memories but not his core data. His real disc, well he'd learned to phase it inside himself until he needed it. A technique that he had 'borrowed' from a video game and made his own. It was still a useful maneuver.
